Your data, handled with care
We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to run your services well, we protect it, and we never sell it. Here’s exactly how that works.

This is a generic, plain-English template of a hosting provider’s privacy policy. It explains what personal data AltaGrade (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and what we do with it. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of the relationship.
What we collect
We keep this to what we actually need:
- Account details — your name, email, and billing information when you sign up.
- Support conversations — the tickets, chats and calls you have with us, so we can help and follow up.
- Technical data — things like IP address, browser and server logs, used to keep services secure and running.
How we use it
Only in ways you’d expect from your hosting provider:
- To set up, run and support your services.
- To take payment and send invoices and important account notices.
- To protect our platform and your sites from abuse and threats.
- To improve our services and, where you’ve agreed, to keep you informed.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how our site is used so we can make it better. You can control cookies in your browser settings; the essential ones are needed for the site and control panel to work.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on hardened servers with encryption in transit, firewalls, intrusion prevention and 24/7 monitoring. Access is limited to the people who need it, and we take daily off-site backups. No system is ever completely risk-free, but we treat your data the way we’d want ours treated.
Sharing — we don’t sell data
We do not, and will never, sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted providers that help us run the service — for example payment processing and infrastructure — and only what they need to do their job, under contract. We may also disclose data if the law genuinely requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it, and you can object to certain uses. Just contact us and we’ll help — no hoops to jump through. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights, which we’ll always honour.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as we need it to provide your services and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. When it’s no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
International transfers
We may process data in countries other than your own. When we do, we put appropriate safeguards in place so your data stays protected to the standard described here, wherever it’s handled.
