I remember poking into Backdrop's code for the first time back in October 2014, when we tried to set it up on Drupion (the older incarnation of our company). According to a popular Russian proverb, "the first pancake is always wonky," so we ran into our first Backdrop problem right then. However, with the valuable input from the Backdrop community members we quickly made necessary changes and got it up and running.
WordPress 5.3 with the improved block editor, named “Kirk” in honour of jazz multi-instrumentalist Rahsaan Roland Kirk, has been released today and is available for download or update in your dashboard.
5.3 expands and refines the block editor with more intuitive interactions and improved accessibility. New features in the editor increase design freedoms, provide additional layout options and style variations to allow designers more control over the look of a site.

As you might know we first announced the launch of our new AltaGrade website and the new hosting platform back on November, 2018. Since then we've been accepting new orders on and migrating Drupion customers who wanted immediate upgrades to the new system.
I am delighted to announce today that a hosting provider previously known as Drupion changes its jurisdiction from San Jose, California to Seattle, Washington and re-launches as AltaGrade LLC, a web-hosting company for everybody created by nerds who know the best of and love to support Drupal, Backdrop, WordPress, Joomla and thousands of other most popular web applications running on Linux.
